Poisons always have fascinated humankind. Initially considered as deleterious or hazardous substances, the modern era has witnessed controlled utilization of dangerous poisons in medicine and cosmetics. Simultaneously, antidotes become crucial reversal agents to counteract effects a poison, they are also used today positively cancel benefits poison after use. Currently, majority composed small molecules. This review focuses on recent developments reverse prevent toxic by encapsulation host Cyclodextrins, cucurbiturils, acyclic cucurbituril derivatives, calixarenes, pillararenes, been reported largely impact compounds, thus extending current paradigm molecule adding new family macrocyclic compounds arsenal antidotes. Along this line research, endogenous harmful species sequestered one more these supramolecular molecules, expanding potential diverse therapeutic areas.
